故 安倍晋三元内閣総理大臣 三回忌を迎えて／On the Second Memorial Day of the Late Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe

　2年前の今日、憲政史上最も長く我が国の先頭に立ち、我が国の未来を切り拓かれた、安倍晋三元内閣総理大臣が暗殺されました。あの日から2年。この間、特に直近1年、総理がご存命だったら…と思うことが多々ありました。

　中華民国（台湾）の賴清德総統は今日に合わせてビデオメッセージを寄せ、Xに「安倍元首相は偉大な政治リーダーであり台湾の良き友でした」と投稿しました。全世界に認められる総理を失ったことはこの上ない悲しみであると、再び痛感させられるものであります。

　これからも、安倍元総理が私たちの先頭に立たれることはありません。そのような未来も存在していたはずではありましたが、その可能性は一瞬にして断たれてしまいました。悔しくてなりません。

　しかし、安倍元総理の思いは私たち国民に確かに残っています。私たちが総理のご遺志を継ぎ、日本国をよりよくしていくほかないのです。これは、私たちに託された使命です。一人一人が、自分が母国・日本に対して何ができるかを考え、行動に移していくことが求められています。

　安倍元総理三回忌を迎えた今日、改めて総理の功績と人生に思いを馳せ、総理の思いを胸に、我が国の前進を誓いましょう。

　最後に、安倍元総理のご冥福を心よりお祈り申し上げるとともに、安倍元総理暗殺事件の真相が一刻も早く究明されるよう、願っています。

Two years ago today, former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, who led our country forward for the longest period in its constitutional history, was assassinated. Two year has passed since that day. During this time, in particular most recent year, I have often wished that he were still alive.

President Lai Ching-te of the Republic of China (Taiwan) sent a video message on X, saying "Former Prime Minister Abe was a great political leader and a good friend of Taiwan." The loss of a Prime Minister who is recognized around the world is a great sadness, and once again we are painfully reminded of this.

I am sure that former Prime Minister Abe will never lead us in the future. Such a future would have existed, but that possibility was cut off in an instant. I cannot help but feel frustrated.

However, the wishes of former Prime Minister Abe certainly remain with us, the people. We have no choice but to carry on his legacy and make Japan a better country. This is the mission entrusted to us. Each one of us is called upon to think about what we can do for Japan, our homeland, and take action.

Today, on the second memorial day of former Prime Minister Abe's death, let us once again reflect on his achievements and life, and pledge to move our country forward with his thoughts in our hearts.

Finally, we sincerely pray for the repose of the soul of former Prime Minister Abe, and hope that the truth about the assassination of former Prime Minister Abe will be uncovered as soon as possible.
