【声明】熊本地震から7年を迎えて／[Statement] Seven Years Have Passed Since the Kumamoto Earthquake

　こんにちは。平成28年熊本地震発生から今日で7年を迎えます。この震災でお亡くなりになられた方々、遺族の方々に深い哀悼の意を表します。また、被災された方々に心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

　熊本県をはじめとする九州中部は徐々に復興しつつありますが、震災前の状況にはまだまだ届きません。1人1人が九州の復興を意識し、協力することが国民として大事なことだと思います。九州の復興は日本の復興です。明日に向けて、未来に向けて、九州を再興させていきましょう。

Greetings. Today marks seven years since the Kumamoto earthquake occurred in 2016. I would like to express my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in this earthquake and to the bereaved families. I would also like to express my heartfelt sympathy to those who have been affected by the disaster.

Although Kumamoto Prefecture and other parts of central Kyushu are gradually recovering, the situation is still far from where it was before the earthquake, and I believe it is important for each and every one of us as citizens of Japan to be aware of and cooperate in the recovery of Kyushu. The reconstruction of Kyushu is the reconstruction of Japan. Let us rebuild Kyushu for tomorrow and for the future.
