【声明】東日本大震災から13年を迎えて／[Statement] 13 Years Have Passed Since the Great East Japan Earthquake

　こんにちは。東北地方太平洋沖地震を発端とした東日本大震災から本日で13年を迎えます。この震災でお亡くなりになられた方々、遺族の方々に深い哀悼の意を表します。また、被災された方々に心よりお見舞い申し上げます。

　13年経過した今でも、2000人以上の行方不明者がいらっしゃいます。一刻も早くご家族のもとへ戻られるよう、お祈り申し上げます。

　私たちは、この震災でかけがえのない多くのものを失くしました。「普通に」生きていることがどれだけありがたいことなのか、奇跡的なことなのか、これでもかというほど思い知らされました。この震災を決して忘れず、未来につなげていくことが、これからの私たちにとって非常に大切なことだと思います。

　日本のため、明日の自分のためにできることを考え、ともに行動に移していきましょう。

Good evening. It has been 13 years today since the Great East Japan Earthquake that originated in the Tohoku Pacific Ocean Earthquake. I would like to express my deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in this disaster and to the bereaved families. I would also like to express my deepest sympathy to those who have suffered from the disaster.

Even after 13 years, more than 2,000 people are still missing. We pray that they will be able to return to their families as soon as possible.

We lost many irreplaceable things in this disaster. We were reminded of how grateful we are to be living "normally" and how miraculous it is. I think it is very important for us to never forget this disaster and to carry it into the future.

Let us think about what we can do for Japan and for ourselves tomorrow, and let us take action together.

Also, by sharing this widely, many people will help us raise funds and many people's lives will be made better. We ask for your kind cooperation.
